Release Date: September 30, 2013. Label: Choux de Bruxelles. Total Length: 41:10. Jaune Toujours' latest has been a labour of love for the band. They worked with focus and determination. Again, they continue to push at musical boarders: from lazy and groovy to intensively nervous, contagiously cheery and exuberantly etnic. Music with a clear message, that can only put you in a good mood. Along for the ride are the “compagnons de ROUTES”, musical friends who have helped bring variation to the album. All are musicians with whom Jaune Toujours has a sound relation after years of collaborations: the Roma-women of Mec Yek, the hypnotic percussion of LKMTIV, the krar (a 5-string Eritrean instrument) from Radio Transit revelation Samson Okbo and the powerful horns and percussion of the Gangbé Brass Band from Benin.

The title for the album finds its origins – next to many possible other links and actual connotations - in some tours of the band in Canada. The audience there (often 2nd, 3rd or 4th generation of European migrants) described the music of Jaune Toujours as both familiar (the sounds and instruments of “the old continent”) and exotic (a very own, contemporay mix, distilled from all sorts of influences). Since it is difficult to classify Jaune Toujours, why not come up with a new musical term? Europeana it is therefore; analogue to or in opposition to the musical style Americana.

Release Date: September 20, 2024. Label: Choux de Bruxelles. Total Length: 52:32. Autumn 2024, Jaune Toujours release their highly anticipated new album VERTIGO. The album continues the band's tradition of breaking boundaries - be it linguistic or musical - with lyrics in English, French, and Dutch, catchy songs, a punk attitude, drum & brass, accordion dub, and Belgian ska. VERTIGO the band pushes even further in their sonic adventure: the accordion is frequently run through effects pedals (ranging from organ sounds to wah-wah and delay), occasionally, a mini-Korg or piano make an appearance, the double bass regularly dives into distortion, occasionally switching to electric bass, while the drums juggle snares and various percussion elements with glee. The horns are richly layered, and the vocals are intricately produced, featuring rich backing vocals and tracks.
